Hundreds enjoy uploading their dragon pictures
Norwich’s GoGoDragons! app is continuing to prove a great success with photographic fans.
The function, created by the EDP and the Evening News, allows users to upload pictures of themselves with the beasts, as well as take part in competitions.
Hundreds of dragon hunters across the city have been submitting images with the creatures to celebrate the charity trail. Since its launch in June, 1,500 pictures have been posted on the app, with Morgan, at the bottom of Hay Hill, the most popular – 39 photographs featuring him have been uploaded.
The latest analysis of the figures shows that a third user of the app has photographed all 84 dragons.
EDP and Evening News digital content manager Peter Raven said: “Morgan is leading the way, but Ascalon, who perches by the Guildhall, is breathing fire down his neck, with only two fewer pictures.”
The dragons have been brought into the city by children’s charity Break and Wild in Art. The creatures will be around until September 5 so there is still time to join in and share your pictures.
There will be prizes awarded to the best photos submitted and for the person who manages to have their photo taken with the most dragons.
These prizes include a GoGoDragons! mini figurine, a GoGoDragons! boardgame, a GoGoDragons! baseball cap, a GoGoDragons! mug and a GoGoDragons! Create Your Own Dragon kit.
