The Wharf Academy, housed in the Church of St. Martin at Oak, provides a modern and exciting music service for schools across the UK. Jim Goreham, local illustrator and artist worked with the group designing a musical theme which employs illustrations of composers who have worked during the period of the Church’s existence. Likenesses of Beethoven segue into Britten with humorous touches referencing their works. St. Martin at Oak lost its tower in air raids during the Second World War.
