Heritage dragons fly in to take their place on Norwich art trail
The colourful creatures were revealed today outside Norwich Cathedral, and they are part of the clan of 84 GoGoDragons! which this summer will feature in a Norwich art trail organised by children’s charity Break and Wild in Art.
The Heritage Seven dragon project has been managed by Eastern Region Media Community Interest Company (ERM CIC) and the dragons – each inspired by a different area of the city – have been developed by artists working with community groups and sponsored by local organisations.
Fiona Muller, who has overseen the project with Tim Edwards, said: “It has been great because it has given different groups a chance to take part in the creation of some of the dragons.
“They are all very different – there’s a real array of styles and heritage themes, and they are all quite fun and have a learning aspect to them as well.”
