SESMA South Easts Martial Arts Association
Students are looking forward to the GOGO Dragon experience.
SESMA has been teaching Karate, Kickboxing & Kung-fu in the Taverham/Drayton area for over 25 years and has taught hundreds of children & adults.
The instructors at SESMA have helped develop students to their full potential and are proud to have helped 1000’s of children feel more confident about themselves and contributed to improving school work by increasing children’s concentration and focus.
SESMA specialises in confidence building and anti-bullying. SESMA instructors have organised anti-bullying workshops in local schools for the Broadland District Council and the Neighbourhood Police.
SESMA run classes in Korean Karate (Taekwondo) for ages 4 years to adult, Kickboxing for ages 6 years to adult and Kung-fu for ages 13 and above.
All classes are held at the SESMA Studio, which is one of the largest professional martial arts centres in the area and hosts many great facilities for the budding martial artist.
Master Instructor Wayne Baker 6th Dan is a former England International team member and was ranked 3rd best in Europe. Master Wayne has also developed a learning programme that helps younger children learn basic core values.
Dragon name: Master Kudo
Dragon design: KUDO means “Award, Honour, Praise & Compliment”. These are some of the life skills that martial art instructors teach.
We asked the students to design a dragon that had a martial arts feel to it and try to incorporate the life skill values that martial arts represent. As our school is about working together and KUDO, we used everyone’s design as scales on the dragon to represent working together, protecting each other and praising everyone’s work.
Master Kudo can be found in Moorish 17 Lower Goat Lane from 4th July to 5th September.
Break Charity is very grateful to Moorish for donating a prize to use at a future fundraising event. They also have a collecting tin for Break which is ideal for any spare change after purchasing one of their delicious falafels! Many thanks!
