Matt Reeve – Patch
Introducing Patch sponsored by Ashton KCJ by artist Matt Reeve which is one of our GoGoMini’s so you can own your own version!
Matt is a freelance artist and educator from Norfolk who works in visual, performance and community arts. His projects span a range of disciplines and media including illustration, animation, puppetry, sculpture and video.
After studying Theatre at Bretton Hall/University of Leeds, and an MA in Animation and Sound Design at Norwich University of the Arts, Matt has spent the last 10 years working on commissions, collaborations and education projects for many schools, charities, councils and organisations, both at home and abroad.
Dragons are a recurring theme in his work, and appear in many forms including exhibitions of sculptural busts and fossils (2011’s Wyrm and 2014’s Dragon Hunter) at Norwich Playhouse for the Norwich Dragon Festival. In 2011 he was selected to represent the city and work in collaboration with Belgian Artist Frank Gryffroy on the Shaping24 Drakina project, creating giant life size dragon skeletons for display in the Children’s Natural History Museum of Belgium. He has designed the logo for 3 Dragon Hall beer festivals, and is presently illustrating a new children’s book of dragons in collaboration with poet and historian John Simpson-Wedge.
GoGoDragons will be his 3rd Wild In Art event, having previously created the GoElephant “Feeling Fruity” which raised £6000 for CLIC Sargent at auction and GoGoGorilla “Mr Carrow” which raised £17000 for Break in 2013.
