Decision time at exhibition of GoGoDragons! designs in Norwich
From dragons decorated with images of Norfolk to fire-breathing beasts inspired by everything from fairy tales to the whole world – a vast array of designs were on display in a very special exhibition.
The GoGoDragons! event at Dingles Motor Company, in Norwich, this evening was a showcase of all the designs that sponsors of the charity art trail could pick from for their dragon sculptures which will be dotted around Norwich next summer. The trail is being organised by children’s charity Break and Wild in Art, and follows in the footsteps of last year’s GoGoGorillas! trail.
Michael Rooney, from Break, said: “It was an opportunity for sponsors to see more than 200 designs that have come in from a whole variety of artists. The designs are breathtaking in terms of their creativity and invention, and at times randomness which is just wonderful. There is a something for everybody.”
Sponsors were asked to indicate their first choice and other favourites, and over the next few days the GoGoDragons! team will finalise which designs will feature in the 2015 trail.
